Wrap bar tape

Curved road/gravel bar with tops, hoods and drops for several hand positions. Brake/shift levers (STI) clamp to the curve; tape covers the bar.

Steps

1. Remove old tape and clean the bar.
2. Start at the bar end, overlapping 1/3, wrapping outward (clockwise on the right as you sit).
3. Use the short strip behind each hood clamp, and reverse the wrap direction above the levers by wrapping over the inside of the lever body.
4. Finish near the stem with a diagonal cut and finishing tape.
5. Push bar plugs in.

Signs it needs doing

• Hands slide forward (hoods too low)
• Worn tape
